We will pick you up from your central London hotel or apartment and take you on a tour, in an air conditioned London taxi. At the end of the tour you can be dropped back at your hotel or a central destination of your choice.
Leeds Castle, which is set in 500 acres of parkland with wonderful gardens, was first built in AD 857 on two islands surrounded by a lake. In 1119 the Normans rebuilt Leeds Castle.
Surrounded by a large watered moat, which now a days is rare, as many moats are now grassed over.
Today, the well kept grounds can be seen along with magnificent views of Leeds Castle.
Along with touring the medieval castle and gardens there are; aviaries, a maze, duckier, vineyard, museum of dog collars, collection of furnishings, tapestries and paintings.
Dover Castle sits on top of the White Cliffs of Dover, with a platform view of the English Chanel and Dover ports.
Dover Castle dates back to Henry II (AD 1100).
Today, Dover Castle is run by English Heritage. Much of the building has been restored and opened to the public. This can take up to 1/2 a day to cover. There is a mini-train to take you round and see the main sights, which can be useful for those with disabilities.
If you wish you can just wonder around, as there is plenty to see, along with a spectacular views from the top of the Dover Castle.
Sitting alongside Dover Castle is the Roman Pharos (or Lighthouse, of which over half still stands.
White Cliffs of Dover
Sitting beside Dover Castle are the 'White Cliffs of Dover', which stretch for five miles.
All of which can be walked, and on a clear day you can see across the sea to France.
The White Cliffs of Dover overlook the ports. You can watch the coming and goings of the ferries and shipping passing through the English channel.
It is a lovely place to have a rest after Dover Castle.
Parts of Hever Castle date date to 1270.
Hever Castle passed through several families until 1903 when it was bought by William Waldorf Astor.
Hever Castle is surrounded by some stunning grounds and gardens, situated on a 35 acre lake with loggia and piazza, classical sculpture in the formal Italian gardens, water maze and hedge maze for everybody to enjoy.
During the summer months you have jousting and open-air theatre.
There is also a miniature Model Houses Exhibition .
Sir Winston Churchill's Home from 1924
Chartwell House is set in the Kentish countryside and once was the home of Sir Winston Churchill and his family.Now owned by the National trust and has been used in the filming of 'Winston Churchill The Wilderness Years'.
The rooms of Chartwell House have been left as they were in his lifetime, and evoke his career and interests, with pictures, maps, documents and personal mementoes.
Chartwell House also has a museum of his many gifts and uniforms, terraced gardens - tea garden and lake with black swans and a garden studio containing many of his paintings.
