About Our London Taxis For The Disabled
All our London taxis are able to carry wheelchairs. We feel the Mercedes Vito London taxi is able to meet those needs best. We always check dimensions before accepting a booking. This is for your benefit and safety.

We have over a decade of experience working with people with disabilities.

From those with limited mobility problems, to others that need the use of an electric wheelchair to get around.

The Mercedes London taxis that we favour, have ramps that allow wheelchairs to be loaded in from the side.

But, the wheelchairs do take up 2 seating positions, which effectively reduces them to a 5 seater taxi.

Swivel chair for disabled or people with poor mobility to access a London taxi For those of you that have reduced mobility, there is a swivel chair, that allows you to sit down by the curb and be transferred into the taxi without all the hassle and pain associated with  climbing in.

For those that are able to walk, but still suffer mobility problems, there are electrics steps that help alleviate the entry and exit of the taxi.

You also have the assistance of a helpful driver should the need arise. Just as importantly, we have many years of experience in knowing the places best suited for those reliant on a wheelchair or with mobility problems.

Our London taxi tours are built around you, thus allowing you to get the best out of your time with us in London.
So, what do you have do. Exactly the same as anyone else. just book a tour.
Let us know what wheelchair (if any) that you are using and we will do the rest.

Dear Carol,
A very belated but no less heartfelt thank you and to Gordon for making the tour that my Russian friend, Aliona, and I had so very interesting and enjoyable. He met us, right on time, at Paddington Station on Saturday, 10th. September last and took us straight to Abbey Road, where he enabled my friend to have her photo taken on the famous Zebra crossing!
She was delighted. He knew all the best spots for the best photo opportunities and we now have a lot of wonderful pictures and memories. His very capable handling of the wheelchair and its precious contents were much appreciated.

Gordon asked if one of the photos that I took could be used for your publicity, and I have got Aliona’s permission for you to use the attached picture. I think you would be hard put to it to find a more attractive, disabled lady!!

Very many thanks again,
Sincerely,
Raife Collett. September 2005
