This Abbey, which
was founded in 1232 is the setting for a number of the
scenes in the 'Philosophers Stone' and 'The Chamber of
Secrets'. The medieval cloisters, Sacristy, Chapter House
and Monastic rooms were used to great effect. |

Lacock Village
While in Lacock, take a little time out to view this
picturesque 16th Century Village, (although the oldest house
dates back to the 13th century). Over the years this village
has hardly changed with the houses and small shops still
standing in their original limewashed, half-timbered and
stone architecture. Visit the church of St Cyraic built in
the 15th century.
New
for 2008,
is the location
used for Professor Slughorn's home and where they aperate. |
